Dive Launches

The Thorfinn runs 2 ‘state of art’ 10 metre/30 foot launches supplied with two 150 hp 4 stroke engines providing fast quiet rides to the dive sites. They have numerous custom features such as seat edge lighting, fresh water showers, under-seat gear bins, easy access dive stairs, camera shelves, depth sounders, GPS and VHF radios. Two additional speedy 24 foot fiberglass twin engine boats, guarantee frequent and variable dive sites for separate diver parties. Fresh towels and cool water are immediately handed to guests on re-boarding dive launch for the short journey back to Thorfinn. A nightly rinse down of both boat and equipment ensures a clean and well maintained operation. All of our dive launches are fully equipped with first aid supplies and full emergency oxygen kits.

Photo Facilities

Two large 3 tiered camera service and storage tables with a compressed air gun for cleaning and maintenance of camera equipment, are conveniently located adjacent to the main guest lounge. Each table has dual voltage 110V and 220V charging points and the main lounge’s large plasma TV monitor with each of the guest rooms individual TV’s and DVD players make for opportune viewing of recently taken footage. Your dive guide will quickly act as your camera valet to help care for your camera systems and shift them from the dive deck on request. Each of the larger dive launches have custom built camera tables and rinsing pails aboard to safely transport your equipment to and from each dive site.
